We just got back from our trip to Vancouver (more on that later – we had a blast!) and I’m jumping back into the wonderful world of blogging with a couple of reviews for you of some great products I was given the opportunity to try recently!

Just in time for our trip, I received the Angel Baby Car Seat Travel Bag. This bag is perfect if you are going to be checking a car seat at the airport. We were so glad we had it because when we picked the car seat up at baggage claim, man, was it dirty! So glad all of that was not on our car seat. The double strength polyester material held up great, no rips or tears during our travels. It closes securely with a drawstring, which is rather long, but it has to be for the large opening of the bag. Just make sure to tuck the strings into the bag before you check it. We traveled with an infant car seat and there was plenty of room to spare, so it would easily fit a toddler car seat as well.
The bag has a built in identification tag pocket and also a handy dandy carrying strap, which in one word was, clutch. Is “clutch” still a thing? Anyway, we had a lot of crap to carry!
I was so glad we decided to bring our own car seat though, opposed to renting one. It was nice for E to have her familiar seat, which I’m sure made car naps much easier. She’s pretty picky about things like that, she wouldn’t fall asleep in her new stroller. We traveled around a lot while we were there so car seat naps were a must! It was also nice for us to not have to worry about installing an unfamiliar car seat properly, wondering if it were damaged in any way, or ending up with a dirty seat. Of course, there is always the risk of damage to your car seat during the flight. When we get a toddler car seat, I might think about getting an inexpensive back up for traveling or for the grandparent’s cars. I will definitely be bringing our car seat with us in this bag for our next trip!
Another great product that I’ve discovered recently is the Fam Fave Digital Thermometer. The battery in our first thermometer died already and the cost of a new battery was more than we paid for the thing! The Fam Fave Thermometer is simple and easy to use with a fast read. It can be used orally (12-25 seconds), rectally (10-15 seconds), or under the arm (25-30 seconds). The thermometer is also waterproof so you can clean it after use.
A nice feature of this thermometer is the large LCD display that lights up when your temperature is ready with a fun green light, so you can easily see it in the dark! That’s my favorite thing about this thermometer. You don’t have to turn on a light to see the temperature when you are snuggled up in the dark with a sick baby.
We are very happy with this thermometer and if you are in the market for one yourself or just need a back up, Fam Fave has provided a coupon code that you can use on Amazon for 50% off! Use code DTT898DT at checkout.
